Kicking-off a great summer at KOP!

Launching Into Summer! 

Monday, June 24th, marked the start of our annual summer camp and the launch of our second site! Our expansion to North Charleston has allowed us to welcome more students, making our summer enrollment 400+! We have loved connecting more with our after school students in this area and are excited to bring this new offering. This would not be possible without the support from you, our community and your endless belief in our mission!

C3 Kick-Off

This week also marked the start of Charleston Civil Rights and Civics (C3). We are so excited to have this week-long program for a second summer, as our high school students will engage with our civil rights history and democratic process, enabling them to better understand each other and become life-long active citizens. They have already had the opportunity to visit the International African American Museum, attend a Andrew Aydin workshop, spend time with Cecil Williams at his museum, and much more! We can’t wait to share more of what this week has in-store for these students!
