We’re honored to share that Kids On Point has been named a 2026 Dick and Tunky Riley WhatWorksSC Award winner, presented by The Riley Institute at Furman University. This statewide recognition highlights programs that are making a measurable difference in student outcomes across South Carolina.
At Kids On Point, we serve more than 500 students annually through free, year-round afterschool and summer programming that combines academic support, enrichment, mentorship, and family engagement. Our impact is reflected in strong results, including more than half of our students improving their GPA and increased academic performance across key subjects.
This award is a reflection of our students, families, staff, and partners who make this work possible every day. We’re proud to be part of a broader effort to expand access to high-quality learning opportunities beyond the school day and to help students succeed in school and in life.
Our students are hard at work through the Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy, diving into meaningful community service projects that allow them to lead with purpose. This experience goes far beyond the classroom, helping students build confidence, teamwork, and real-world leadership skills. We’re especially grateful to our partners at Chick-fil-A on Dorchester Road for introducing us to this powerful program and investing in opportunities that empower our students to make a difference in their community.
