 The Adventures Continue!

We have just concluded our third week of summer programming, and the fun has yet to stop! Our students have had the opportunity to go on many off site field trips including  excursions with Coastal Expeditions, beaching with Youth 2 Ocean, golf lessons with First Tee, a visit to the Mace Brown Museum of Natural History, and much more! We are thankful to be able to provide these opportunities to our students and expand their knowledge of our community further. It would not be possible without your unwavering support!

C3 Spotlight

Our first week of programming included year 2 of our week-long Charleston Civil Rights and Civics (C3) program. Our high school students had the opportunity engage with our civil rights history and democratic process, enabling them to better understand each other and become life-long active citizens. During this week, they were able to travel to neighboring areas of our state to expand their knowledge and hear from impactful individuals in our community. Just to name a few of their visits: The Avery Research Center, South Carolina State University, The Penn Center, The International African American Museum and much more! Along with a few speakers to highlight: Carolyn Murray, Andrew Aydin, Cecil Williams, Daron Calhoun, Mayor William Cogswell, Candace Spann, and numerous others. The week concluded with a graduation for our students, celebrating their success!

We are proud to offer this program, and provide new educational opportunities to these students as they begin their young adult journeys.
