• What do volunteers do at Kids on Point?

  Volunteer roles include

  • Providing academic support by assisting students in the classroom
  • Providing athletic support by assisting students on the squash courts

• Who can volunteer?

  Volunteers must be:

  • age 16 or older
  • able to pass a state background check
  • energetic, engaged and professional during programming
  • committed to KOP’s mission, vision and values

• What does volunteer scheduling look like?

  Our afterschool program operates Monday - Thursday from 3pm-6pm at both KOP locations. We ask all volunteers to commit at least two hours per week to the success of our students. However, you are welcome to volunteer as frequently (one or more days) and as long (one or more hours) as your schedule allows.

• What should I wear?

  Wear a KOP shirt (provided), sneakers and comfortable athletic bottoms when volunteering to show KOP team spirit!

• How do I become a volunteer with Kids on Point?

  To become a weekly volunteer with Kids on Point, complete our two-step registration process. Be sure to save your certificate of complete for Stewards of Children certificate of completion as a PDF (step 1), for you will upload it to your application (step 2).

• Do I have to complete the Stewards of Children Darkness to Light Course?

  Yes, all volunteers and staff members are required to complete this training.

• How do I volunteer with my school group or co-workers?
